People don’t realize how big of an effect all of the cruel over killing of sea creatures is going to have on this world. It needs to stop now before its too late.
Every year between September and March 23,000 cetaceans(dolphins, whales, and porpoises) are slaughtered in Taiji, Japan.
Some are sold for their meat, which contains extremely high levels of mercury and in-turn have caused severe health problems among the Japanese people.
The others are sold to tourist destinations such as seaquariums where they are trained. When dolphins are held in captivity they endure huge amounts of stress and often commit suicide. If they don’t commit suicide they are given too many drugs and overdose. Drugs like Buprenorphine, a heroin substitute.
